I live in a two-story house with a basement, and I struggled with weak Wi-Fi signals throughout my home, despite trying different internet providers. The signal strength issues were likely due to the material of the walls blocking the signals.
Fed up with the consistently low signal, I decided to explore my options and concluded that the eero mesh system was the best solution. What appealed to me was the hassle-free setup that didn't require drilling for additional Wi-Fi access points. Having watched numerous videos, I was convinced of its simplicity.
Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your eero mesh:
1. **Choose the Right Number of eero Devices:** Optimal performance is achieved with at least two eero devices. I selected an eero Pro for the living room and another for my bedroom. Note: you can mix and match different erro versions as they are all compatible with each other.
2. **Decide on Main Modem or Access Point:** Determine whether you want to use the eero as your main modem or as a Wi-Fi access point (essentially a secondary modem emitting strong signals). I chose the latter because my internet provider had already provided a free modem, and having an access point meant the Wi-Fi was right in my room.
3. **Set Up as Main Modem:** If you're using eero as your main modem, simply plug the internet cable into the eero and jump to Step 7 to finish the setup.
4. **Set Up as Wi-Fi Access Point:** If you've opted for an additional Wi-Fi access point, you'll need a CAT 7 Ethernet cable (similar to the internet cable). These cables are affordable and readily available on Amazon.
To avoid drilling, get a CAT 7 Ethernet cable long enough to connect the eero to the main modem. I went for a 15ft cable, dropped it down from my room's window, and connected it to the main modem in the living room.
5. **Position the eero:** Take the eero to the location where you desire for strong internet signals and connect an end of the CAT 7 Ethernet cable to it.
6. **Connect to Main Modem:** Drop the other end of the cable from the window or guide it to where the main modem is located. Connect it to the Ethernet port on the modem and power on the modem then the eero.
7. **Download the eero App:** Install the eero app, follow the user-friendly instructions, and you're done! The app will also guide you on setting up additional eero devices, for which you won't need extra cables, as the initial eero provides them with robust signals.

My bff just moved her camper in my backyard and our comcast wifi wasn’t strong enough for use passed our back patio. I live in SWFL, and needed something that could extend our wifi to her camper through cinder block. Comcast actually recommended the eero PRO bc it can get wifi through concrete. I bought 3 of these refurbished bc Best Buy was sold out of them new. I was nervous but hopeful. The first one plugged directed into my modem router combo, the next one plugged into the wall in the room closest to back of house, and the third plugged into outlet in my bff’s camper. It was incredibly easy to install and worked like a charm. She can now use her phone and laptop, and has enough signal to stream movies. Not only am I impressed with Eero Pro, but also the fact that all 3 refurbished items worked.

I already owned 2 Eero pro6 devices, but I needed another one to reach my back yard. Luckily I found this refurbished Eero Pro. It was easy super easy to set up on the Eero app took about 5 mins. The app features are good it lets you see which devices are connecting and have zero issues with it. I would purchase another device with confidence.
Pros:
• Price
• Fast shipping
• Extends my internet without any connectivity issues
• Easy to set up- 5 mins tops
• Nice sleek design
• Signal and stability is great
• App features- You can dim the front light
Cons:
• The device gets warmer than my other Eero pro 6s. This was solved by purchasing small fans to cool the device.

I have a single story ranch style home that has ethernet prewired throughout. The problem is the ethernet junction box is in a closet in the back of the house which is behind a stone fireplace. This of course is not ideal for Wi-Fi range. I’ve tried repeaters and extenders of all sorts with some success but the signal at the front of the house where my ring devices are was never very good. Enter the Eero mesh router! What an extraordinary difference. I can now have video conference calls at the end of my driveway if I so pleased. My setup is very simple. I have three of these. One in the bunker aka closet, one in the kitchen (middle of the house), and one in the study (front of the house). I run the ethernet from the modem into the Eero and from the Eero into an ethernet switch. I then simply hardwire the other two Eeros. Setting these up is extremely easy. The signal is strong, fast, and reliable. I average 500 – 600 Mbps up and down on my phone throughout the house. I highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with Wi-Fi range and stability.

After running an Apple AirPort Extreme for about 8-10 years with zero significant problems I pondered if switching to an Eero Mesh would improve my WiFi, which was very good in my small 1450 Sq ft ranch home. The price of the refurb was ridiculously cheap and I knew I could return it if it didn't do the job. I installed the app and plugged the router in. I do have cameras, doorbell, tablets, speakers and so on. It required almost nothing on my part to get the network up and running. My house was for the first time snuggled in a perfect WiFi blanket. I did not know that Echo devices act as range extenders for the Eero, but my coverage was so good the Eero software disabled that feature. On the app I can see all of my apps/connections and what they're up to. Today I accidentally unplugged the Eero and to my surprise it reconnected itself in about two minutes. As others have said, it does get hot but having researched via google and reddit I feel it is not a concern. There's a built in heat sink on the bottom, and it dissipates heat via the top of the unit. In other words, it's doing what it's supposed to do. While I was a techie in my younger days (I know DOS, lol) these days I just want things to work and work well. This Eero router fits that bill perfectly.

There was a lot of battery reviews on here about the renewed item, but at the price and with Amazon‘s return policy, I took the chance and I’ve had no issues with it and it’s been running for a couple months now it connected right away so if you if you want to save a few dollars then get the renewed one. Give it a shot because if it doesn’t work, you can always return it
