5.0 out of 5 stars Better range and performance than my nighthawk

I recently upgraded to to this router and I couldn't be more pleased. What drew my attention was this router boasts Wi-Fi 6 technology and a quad-core processor with 512MB of memory. From my own daily use, it became evident this router significantly outperformed my previous Nighthawk X4S R7800 / AC2600 router. One of the most notable improvements is the router's range. The AX6000 has a much longer reach than my former Nighthawk X4S. I used to operate two Nighthawk X4S routers in a bridge configuration to cover my entire home. However, the TP-Link AX6000 effortlessly handles the job, delivering better range and performance than my previous Nighthawk configuration. Currently, I have 11 devices connected to my router, including smartphones, iPads, two MacBook computers, printers, and Ring cameras, and impressively, the AX6000 manages all these devices flawlessly. There are no connectivity issues, even with multiple devices running simultaneously. Moreover, the ease of setup and the reliability of the connection have been fantastic. So far, the router has been a reliable workhorse, handling heavy traffic without any hiccups. Time will tell how well holds up, but so far I'm very impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice router

We were using the cable company provided router and have for years. It provided no service to my shop area, 100-150 or so feet from where the router is located. Ditched the cable router, bought this one, and blazing speeds in the shop. Was a breeze to set up, no problems at all. If I were to ever buy another router, I'd look for this brand. We have 2 streaming services, 10 cameras, 3 phones, 7 computers, and 3 tablets connected to it and all receive a great signal. The 3 mobile phones depend on WIFI calling as we don't get phone service at the house - which woks great. You can also download an app with it that checks speed and other things.
The only drawback which wasn't really an issue for us is that it wouldn't work with our cable landline phones. So we had to disconnect that service.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Signal, Incredible Range

This is the best Wi-Fi router/AP I have ever owned. I am using it in AP mode, so I can't comment on the advance features, but here's why I like this Archer AX80: I have a lot of devices throughout my home, between family member devices, IoT Smart home devices and security cameras. Previously I had to use 3 separate APs to get full coverage, and I found the signals were not stable, and dropped frequently. I was very close to going for an expensive mesh system, when I read all the positive reviews on this one and decided to give it a try. This thing is incredible. It can easily handle the entire house full of devices with just this one router. Coverage and range are amazing. Signal is strong and stable in both 2.4 and 5ghz bands. There are a few devices out in my garage that always had problems with weak signals, and now they are working flawlessly and have a very strong signal. Noticeable speed difference on the 5ghz band for all my streaming devices. Videos load extremely fast. Like all TP-Link products, it was an easy and intuitive setup.

5.0 out of 5 stars (UPDATE:See Below) This router is giving me many problems.

When I connect Xbox x the console says it can't read my upstream speed and fails to connect to ANY online games.
My 24 port TPlink POE switch won't work with this AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 router. It provides power but I can't see my axis poe cameras and ANYTHING else I connect to it. This router is compromising my home security.
I should've went all Netgear.
Whoops.... Right after I posted the original review:
The TP switch and the router had the same IP address.
Logged into the router and changed it's default IP address and everything works fine.
The AX6600 is a very capable router. I have 23 devices (wired, wireless) connected through the AX6600 and I notice no degradation in gaming performance on XBX. I'm giving XBX top priority via QOS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful, feature rich router

This router was delivered in a very large carton with heavy padding inside to protect the large but not so hefty device. This is the third TP-Link router I have purchased in the last seven years, so I am used to their quality and performance, which is first rate. It replaces an Archer30 box, so setting it up to take over the already expansive network of devices in my home was a breeze. I used the web interface on my PC because I am used to it, and the user interface is pretty straightforward and expansive. Having a speed test button on the Network App tab is an especially nice touch too. The first task I had to execute after getting it in place was to upgrade the firmware, which was easy and quick due to the very resourceful (pun intended) TP-Link support page.
I decided on the replacement because the connected device count in my home has been steadily growing recently, and I felt I needed more capacity and future proofing. The ability to create a separate IoT network is one of the things that helped me decide to upgrade to this level. I initially tried setting device priority using the QoS feature, but that seemed to cause a few dropouts, so I turned it off and haven't gotten any since.
When I first checked the speed on my main PC which is in the same room as the router, the download speed jumped to the 390 - 330 range (on my 300 Mbps Spectrum internet) and settled down to a final read of 355Mbps. The upload speed peaked at 12 Mbps. Speeds generated on devices farthest away from the device stayed in the 270+ Mbps/9+ Mbps (download/upload) range, which is very good.
One of the main duties I have expected from my routers over the years is to be able to serve USB connected drives on the local network so I can access them from other network devices. This router recognized my four USB SSD drives connected through a Sabrent DC powered hub plugged into the router's USB port nicely - once I realized the hub needed DC power to the hub to handle the load.
I have used other routers over the years and have found TP-Link routers to be the most reliable and feature rich ones. Highly recommended

Just switched to fiber optics internet. Wanted a router that could keep up. This one has surpassed all expectations.
I am on 2 Gbps internet and this router has a port for 2.5 Gbps. My wife works on a computer system from home that most would envy. She has daily speeds of 2450 Mbps download and 2240 upload.
The Lenovo WiFi 6 compatible tablet that I am writing from gets download speeds of 750 to 900 Mbps several rooms away.
We have two children, 15 WiFi devices and all run off this router.
How do you achieve these speeds? Plan ahead. You need only one (1) small cat wire cord that connects to the fiber modem. The lan cord that came with this router was cat 5e, which is nonsense.
I used the 3ft. cat6 lan cord that came with the modem install.
Cable internet we had before reached speeds of about 260 Mbps on a good day.
If you need a high speed router that is long range and high speed, without costing a small fortune then this is the one. Let's face it, no matter the cost 5 years is maximum lifetime for these things.
Setup was very easy.
Wife is happy, which makes me happy.

We have a Storlink Satelite and Router. The Starlink Router is a MESH router. TheTP-Link AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX80) Router is also a Mesh Router which made setup so easy. I have an ethernet cable run from the Starlink Router to the other end of the house to the TP-Link AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX80. I went to the TP-Link AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX80) website and set the TP-Link as a mesh node which has made our WIFI SO FAST Everywhere including at our barn that is 100ft away! It has been fantastic!

5.0 out of 5 stars seems to work even while connected to over 10 devices in over-3000 sq foot 2-story home.

Well, I've only had it for a day, but so far, so good. Setup was easy-ish. It involves downloading an app, but things went pretty smoothly. It's running six Alexa devices, two smart bulbs, three iPhones, and three laptops or iPads. And a Roku. The house is two stories, about 3,000 sq ft., and the device is in a downstairs office. The signal works perfectly in the upstairs master bedroom. Again...it's just been hooked up for a day, but I replaced an old router that appeared to be failing, and this new one has fixed all those problems (losing connection on iPhone multiplayer card games, etc). I think the claims of its power, etc, are justified so far.
