5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, quality wi-fi router that actually delivers!
Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2024
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
After trying and testing two other options, the NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-band Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System and the TP-Link Deco AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System, I can confidently say that the Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi router is in a league of its own.
The eero Pro outperformed both the NETGEAR Nighthawk and the TP-Link Deco in several key areas. One of its most impressive features is its seamless and flawless connectivity. Every device I have connects to the eero Pro without any issues. In contrast, the TP-Link Deco had compatibility issues, especially with Apple products. I found myself constantly rebooting my devices just to get them to connect to the router.
Another standout feature of the eero Pro is its blazing-fast Wi-Fi speeds. Once I connected the eero Pro, everything changed for the better. The Wi-Fi around my house is now lightning-fast, and I can stream, game, and video conference without any lag or buffering.
In terms of performance, the NETGEAR Nighthawk was disappointing. It was terribly slow, and most of my devices ended up with poor performance and bad connectivity. The TP-Link Deco also fell short in terms of speed and performance.
The eero Pro also impressed me with its ease of setup and management. The eero app makes it easy to set up and manage your Wi-Fi network from anywhere, and the system automatically updates to ensure that you always have the latest features and security updates.
While the eero Pro isn't completely free of disconnects and occasional network hiccups, it's by far the best solution I've come across. I was pleasantly surprised to find an affordable, high-tech solution that actually delivers on its promises.
If you're in the market for a reliable and powerful Wi-Fi router, I highly recommend giving the Amazon eero Pro 6E Mesh Wi-Fi Router a try. With its seamless connectivity, blazing-fast speeds, and easy setup and management, it's the best Wi-Fi router I've ever used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Major speeds and superior to linksys velop

Ive been using the Linksys velop mesh system for a couple years now and it was driving me crazy how inconsistent its signals were. Constant drops, and the app was garbage. Finally decided to try these out. Holy crap what a difference. Using inly 2 nodes in my 3 story townhouse my devices are getting between 250-500mbs. No drops so far and super consistent signals. The app is also light years easier to use than the Velop. Time is the true test but so far so good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Among Most Affordable 6E routers
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2022
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
I have been in the market for a decent Wi-Fi 6 mesh router for under $600 for more than one year and realized that release of the 6E is around the corner. So far I have evaluated multiple Wi-Fi 6 routers and I have faced at least one non-compromising issue with all these.
Netgear Orbi RBK753S (Costco):
-- Not reliable connectivity. Would lose connections or the router suddenly goes into a frozen state frequently. Tried with another unit too and faced the same issue. Netgear support was horrible. Also, it didn't have the support for parental controls.
ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 (Amazon):
-- This is the best router among all of them I have tested so far. I have been using the ASUS family of routers all my life. They are reliable and long life.
-- I had to return this because all my IoT devices which use 2.4 GHz often disconnect and g into a bad state. I had to frequently reset them to fix them.
TP-Link Deco X90 (Amazon):
-- Decent router but had to return these as they would suddenly freeze and had to restart them at least once in 2 days.
Reyee RG-R6 (Amazon):
-- Not bad router for the price but had to return them as they would freeze frequently and had to hard restart them. Sometimes, it takes more than 15 to 20 mins for them to restart.
I was excited about Eero Pro Wi-Fi 6E and pre-ordered them and so far they are really good and found no issues except the few temporary glitches to the clients.
Pros:
-- Set up was really easy and fastest among all these routers.
-- Nice app with intuitive design. Easy to use.
-- Elaborated parental controls (subscription is needed and currently I am under the 30 days eval period), security, add blocker, etc.
-- Might subscribe for Eero Secure+ Which comes with several other apps like 1Password, Encrypt.me for which I currently pay separately.
-- Fast speeds and reliable connectivity so far.
-- Future-proofed With 6E and realized that my wife's Google Pixel 6 Pro is connected to the 6 GHz band and has speeds touching 1 Gbps.
Cons:
-- Have to pay for security and parental controls where some of the routers like ASUS come built-in.
-- I had to restart some of my devices like Apple TV, and a couple of Windows PCs after switching to this router. They were using a 2.4 GHz band even though they support 5 GHz. But after the restart, they have been working just fine.
So far this router is a keeper and I'll update this review for any changes as I continue to use it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic system for large homes
Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2024
Configuration: 2 PackVerified Purchase
This is the first router that I’ve actually loved. I bought the base two set and one extra as well. I installed two units downstairs and one unit upstairs. I have a strong signal to every corner of my home for the first time ever.
The Eeros app is extremely well done and easy to use. It walks you through the setup process in clear, easy to follow steps. The best part is that when you place the extra units it runs a test to make sure the signal is strong enough to repeat. If not, you can move the unit and test again. This ensures you have a strong consistent mesh network throughout your home. As you move through your device will automatically switch to the strongest signal.
Another great feature is that you only see one network but the eeros smart connects each device to its best option (2.4ghz 5ghz and 6e). This works well if you’re not familiar with networking and you don’t know the best option for your older and newer devices.
Finally, I wanted to mention the app allows great control over all your devices via profiles. You can create profiles for all your family members and assign them devices. If your kids need a break or aren’t doing their chores you can easily shut off the WiFi to all their devices quickly and easily without impacting anyone else.
The eeros plus is also a great deal in my opinion. The inclusion of 1Password, ad blocking, and especially the VPN which can easily be turned on and off are the highlights for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Home Router, Seamless Set Up-Great for 1 GB service
Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2024
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
Before I get into reviewing the product itself, I want to state obvious: a big part of an enjoyable wifi experience relies heavily on the devices that are connecting to it. We have everything from an old chrome books to brand new laptops and everything in between. You are not going to get 800mps download speeds on your 6 year old macbook. If you haven't upgraded your computers, amazon fire stick etc. it might be time to do that upgrade before you fork out $500+ for a mesh router. All of these devices didn't have any problem with the Eero 6E. We have a 6000 sqf home on three levels. The three node eero mesh system is flawless and works great. I now even have wifi in the front and back yard! We stream in the basement with a smart tv and the router on the first floor allows for fantastic reception. We have a 1 gb internet connection with fibre. I'm getting almost 900mps on the eero 6E on wifi. The installation is the best experience I have ever had. There is also a bonus with the eero 6E. Each note has an ethernet port. So if you have a 10 year old desktop somewhere in the house with a non working wireless card, you can plug it into one of the routers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works from basement upwards for me. Easy setup
Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2023
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
The best place to start your original router is in the middle of your house middle floor etc. However my setup was entry of cable through the basement. So I have my original router in the basement kind of near the middle then the next two routers are about one floor up and then another floor up after that on the left side of the house. When I tried putting these next two in the middle there is a metal barrier from the ductwork that prevents flow of the Wi-Fi signal through the house. The signal to the router itself was good but it would keep dropping if you were sitting behind the wall that had the duct work in it. But since these eero's have strong signal they do great on the side of the house and I get fantastic throughput all the way to the garage and even halfway out into the yard on the opposite side of the house. Set up was easy just follow the app instructions.
At first I thought an app I use, VNC viewer, would need some special firewall settings as I was unable to connect after new routers, but it was actually Windows 10 that was preventing it from working due to new network recognized. So launching VNC viewer server going into the config then clicking okay prompted Windows to ask me if I wanted to allow VNC communication through the network. So you click on yes now working. So it was Windows firewall not eero firewall preventing it.
I have shark vacuum robots that run on a 2.4 GHz only. And they use your cell phone to make the pairing to the network. Since eeeo handles all of the Wi-Fi automatically it'll connect your phone to whatever is the best quickest which is normally 5 Ghz and your phone can't find the shark vacuum robot. Eero settings under troubleshooting gives you an option to temporarily turn off 5 GHz speed to allow 2.4 GHz only devices to connect to the network. So enable that on your eero app then disconnect your phone and reconnect it to the home network and you will join on 2.4 GHz. Then follow your instructions for connecting to the shark vacuum robots to get them connected to your home network through your phone. When you're done and about 10 minutes later when it times out you can if you choose disconnect and reconnect your phone so you'll connect it the faster 5 GHz speed. But once your robots are connected to the eero Network they'll continue to be connected using 2.4 GHz even after power off due to the pairing you did. So it's a one time thing.
You don't need the extra services eero offers unless those are packages that you pay for today through some service to protect you on the internet.
The units feel warm to the touch so keep them in a well ventilated place. They look nice and work so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for rural use
Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2024
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
We needed something to really expand our rural internet to its best performance. We bought the eero sometime around 2018 or so and it performed great, so when my job became more hybrid a couple of years ago, we traded in our old system (which still worked great), and upgraded it for this system. I know the specs say it will cover up to 6000 square feet, but they are absolutely under selling its abilities. On top of being a flawless mesh system, it covers 60-75% our entire half acre place with decent internet, and the remaining percent is still a perfectly acceptable range for general use. I love that I can categorize things into groups and use that feature all the time, as well as we have a dedicated guest wifi password, which is a really nice feature that eero offers, and I can also set up our nieces on a group for when they come to visit where it cuts off their internet access at a decent hour so that they aren’t up all night. That is also a 10/10 feature. All in all, I have been using this system for 5-6 years now and while setup can sometimes be a little tricky, I would absolutely recommend this system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent so far

Our last Eero extender was fried in a lightning storm. We replaced it with the newest version available. Upon unboxing we immediately noticed that this extender was much bigger than our old one. Setup was a breeze and it got to work right away. I have better coverage throughout my house and yard compared to the older model. My kids are able to connect more devices without interference or lagging so that’s a big win. Hopefully this doesn’t get fried in an electrical storm but so far has been well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easiest setup of any router
Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2024
Configuration: 3 PackVerified Purchase
Over the years I’ve used many different routers. All of them have a learning curve and require some understanding of WLAN setup. Not so with the Eero.
These are truly plug and play devices.
I had my three-device mesh network set up and working in 10 minutes. The Eero app interface is intuitive and easily shows connected devices. It also gives an nifty option to be notified whenever a new device joins the network.
I’m using the three devices in a wireless mesh but these can be networked through a LAN connection which should avoid too much signal loss.
The devices look attractive and could be plugged in the open without the hideous antennae that other routers have.

My old router would be great when it worked but would occasionally drop out and I had to reset them all atleast once a week. It sucked not having consistent WiFi. Absolutely no problems with this system and have been using it for months now
